"For most of you Kaffe Fassett will need little introduction. We started our business with Kaffe over 20 years ago, and after all these years, he remains our principal designer. He is widely regarded as one of the world's leading textile artists and is, undoubtedly, one of the world's most original colourists".
Kaffe Fassett's extraordinary vision is in his sense of colour. Through his books, among them Glorious Color, his spirited designs have been a source of inspiration to handknitters, quilters, and needlework artists around the world for more than two decades. Though he has created thousands of sweater and needlepoint kits to complete at home, he has never before designed a true ready-to-wear collection.
After observing Peruvian Connection's work for years, Kaffe came to believe that we shared with him a certain sensitivity to colour and design, and an obsession with the small details of the craft of knitting. In short, he saw in us the ability to preserve in production the atelier character of his art.
Kaffe approached us with the idea of collaborating on a small group of sweaters, interpreting his glorious designs in the Peruvian Connection colour pallet, in shapes our design team felt our PC customers would love. The skilled Andean artisans who knit for us would produce these gorgeous art-knits.
We're very pleased and proud of the results, and are happy to offer these uniquely beautiful sweaters - the kind you'd normally see only as one-of-a-kind pieces in an artist's studio.

Kaffe Video Interview
Last year a TV company visited the Studio from Denmark to interview Kaffe. The programme is more of a biography on Kaffe, looking at where he is coming from as an artist and his ideas for inspiration. The film is also a rare inside look at Kaffe's studio and home.
We get many requests to visit the studio, but sadly when we are home - we have to hit the road running with deadlines. So this programme will give you a glimpse of what's behind the front doors.
Nepenthe Restaurant & Phoenix Boutique
Based on the vision of founders Lolly and Bill Fassett, the family has maintained a commitment to exceptional caring service in a relaxed atmosphere.
Lolly added the Phoenix Shop in 1964 to share the wares and treasures she loved with the world, and in 1992, the Café Kevah opened.
All three businesses are still operated by their children and grandchildren. The traditions of family hospitality are a hallmark of the business.
