Peruvian Connection
Kaffe Fassett's extraordinary vision is in his sense of color. Through his books, among them Glorious Color, his spirited designs have been a source of inspiration to handknitters, quilters, and needlework artists around the world for more than two decades. Though he has created thousands of sweater and needlepoint kits to complete at home, he has never before designed a true ready-to-wear collection.
After observing Peruvian Connection's work for years, Kaffe came to believe that we shared with him a certain sensitivity to color and design, and an obsession with the small details of the craft of knitting. In short, he saw in us the ability to preserve in production the atelier character of his art.
Kaffe approached us with the idea of collaborating on a small group of sweaters, interpreting his glorious designs in the Peruvian Connection color pallet, in shapes our design team felt our PC customers would love. The skilled Andean artisans who knit for us would produce these gorgeous art-knits.
We're very pleased and proud of the results, and are happy to offer these uniquely beautiful sweaters - the kind you'd normally see only as one-of-a-kind pieces in an artist's studio.

Mountain Flower Cardigan
Mountain flowers bloom in glorious multi-color on this Kaffe Fassett-designed knit jacket. Handknit in a marvelous palette of tweeded pima cotton shades, the oversized jacket is edged in a tubular trim at the hem and cuffs, and crochet finishes the V neckline and buttoning placket. To see more details about this Cardigan you can visit Peruvian Connection's site. |
