Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably patchwork workshop

Quilt style to be confirmed. In this Workshop you will be arranging your fabric pieces on a piece of flannel that youÕll just fold up at the end of each workshop, ready to take home and sew. You may keep your projects wall-sized or expand them to full size later. This quilt is primarily scrappy so the workshop is for scrappy quilts done in fairly low contrast. Kaffe will be taking you through the same process he uses for designing his own quilts.

Kaffe Fassett Workshop: Painting with Wool

A truly original class which will result in your very own unique hooked rug inspired by the colour creativity of Kaffe Fassett. Kaffe, assisted by Brandon Mably, will help you draw a design on your burlap and make colour decisions that will make your hooking sing. Kaffe and Brandon will have textiles on hand to inspire and illustrate colour theories. Feel the joy of being surrounded by colour and jumping fearlessly into the endless possibilities of colour combinations with the support and guidance of Kaffe.

The class will focus on colour and not technique, so participants must be comfortable with basic hooking. Please bring a hook, frame or hoop, a sharpie marker, and a pair of scissors. The class includes burlap, wool strips and yarn used in class, lunch, and refreshments.
